No Curtain Calls
A play of thrills and suspense; it takes hold of the imagination the moment the curtain rises and builds logically to its surprising smash climax. The scene is a deserted hunting cabin in a certain nameless European country. To this cabin come several intelligence officers and a famous actor. The officers have prepared a trap for their arch-enemy, who has always eluded them in the past. The actor is to impersonate the captured confederate of this arch-enemy, whom they hope then to surprise and take red-handed. The officers’ trap is fool-proof; this time their man shall not get away; they have provided for every contingency – except one: the unpredictable temperament of an artist! This is an exciting little play, and one extremely simple to produce – it provides ideal tournament material for an all-male cast.
