Born in England, Mike moved to Vancouver in 1968, and became involved over the years in many ventures including his own businesses, as president of multiple associations, and as a director and actor in numerous plays.
Mike joined Deep Cove Stage in the early 1980s and was involved in many of its pantomimes, comedies, and dramas, mainly as an actor or director. He was a recipient of Theatre BC’s prestigious Don Marsh Award for promoting harmony amongst North Shore theatre groups.
He was a board member of Deep Cove Stage for many years and was part of building the Deep Cove Cultural Centre which opened in 1992. Mike was a past president of Deep Cove Cultural Society and served as a board member until recently.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Caroline, daughters Heidi and Kim, grandchildren, and his brother John, extended family and many close friends.
